Benefits of Flaxseeds and how to consume it

Flax is one of the oldest fiber crop in the world. it has been used in Ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years.
Flaxseed is an excellent source of fiber, lignans, and of linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), two omega-3 fatty acids that are essential for human health. These are thought to disrupt the growth of cancer cells and to prevent their development. Consuming omega-3 oils may help protect against different types of cancer. It is consumed as a dietary supplement to prevent constipation, diabetes, cholesterol, cancer, and other conditions.

How to consume Flax Seeds

Flax seeds need to be consumed in moderate qty. One teaspoon serving has sufficient amounts of nutrients required for our body.  Flaxseeds can be sprinkled on cereal,  mixed with yogurt, blended into smoothies, or added to soups. They can be dry roasted, for a nutty crunchy flavor, and mixed with other seeds or consumed directly.  They can also be ground to powder form and mixed with flour/ atta for making Roti / Chappati / Cakes / Biscuits / Breads etc...
